From Peterborough, Alex started photography at the age of 9 and is the founder of the Underwater Photographer of the Year competition. He is a regular contributor to many publications in the marine, wildlife, diving and photographic media including DIVER Magazine.

He is the inventor of the Magic Filters, designed to produce colourful photos or videos without having to use strobes, flash or lights. Magic Filters can be bought direct from the Magic Filters website or from one of leading underwater photography dealers. The Magic Filter recipe is also used in GoPro Flip Filters.

In addition, the Alex Mustard Underwater Photography Workshops are a must, which he runs regularly through the year.
