Part of the Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve, the area has been managed by the Dorset Wildlife Trust since 1974. Kimmeridge Bay boasts the best rockpooling and safest snorkelling site in Dorset. The snorkelling trail was created in 2006. This is an ideal site or scuba too, being a shallow shore dive in a secluded bay and ideal for photography and critter spotting. Be aware of surfers, SUP and kayaking. It's probably a good idea to have a SMB deployed throughout the dive. Access to Kimmeridge bay is along a narrow winding road where you will be required to pay a small fee at a toll. The entire bay is very shallow, and the diving is not that deep. You'll see different species of weed and kelp, and a variety of fish, especially wrasse and blennies.
