The visibility at Vobster certainly varies throughout the year and it is during the winter that you can expect the best. I am sure the good people at Vobster can explain the reasons, but lack of students kicking up the bottom is not the answer. I do know that during late summer and/or early autumn that spawning fresh water mussels do have a negative affect on visibility, but winter is near perfect. You can expect water temperatures to be around 8degC and the thermocilnes can give a chilly surprise, but perhaps a small price to pay to practice your photography skills?
